The Graduate School of the University produces master’s and doctoral students in various fields such as humanities and social sciences, natural sciences, aquatic and marine sciences, engineering, and arts and physical education, with the aim of providing an appropriate balance of education and research activities. As of 2022, there are 86 departments for master’s programs (capacity: 493 students), 85 departments for doctoral programs (capacity: 224 students), and 57 departments for integrated master’s and doctoral programs (within the doctoral admission capacity).

So far, we have graduated 9,863 master’s, 3,153 doctoral, and two combined master’s and doctoral programs, and they are playing a pivotal role as professionals in all walks of life.

Globalization, openness, and informationization trends are accelerating rapid change in all areas of society. This means that universities need to be more proactive and enterprising, and build an operational system to train a high-quality workforce.

Accordingly, the Graduate School is actively responding to any environmental changes, establishing an optimal education and research environment to foster advanced human resources required by society, and fostering the highest level of advanced human resources through theoretical education, practical education, and the best convergence education programs based on excellent faculty members and sufficient education and research infrastructure.

With the goal of “fostering world-class creative talent,” we will do our best to develop high-level professionals who can contribute to creating a “people-centered society.
